Looking for tires
« le: Mercredi 16/05/2007 15:19:40 »
Hi,  I have seen pictures of VanVans on here with street tires.  I was wondering where people are buying these tires, I cannot find them anywhere in the US?  I have a spare set of wheels, so I would like to keep a set with the original knobby tires, and a set with non-knobby street tires.

Can anyone give me a link to a place that sells street tires for RV90's??

Hi Mattydiah,
nice to reading from you again. Edouard is right, you can find nowadays plenty of ATC and quad tyres matching the RV90 size, 6.70x10". Some other cool "street" tyres you can find are the ones esspecially made for the original Austin Mini, the only car with 10" rims, although I recon a wicked behaviour on turns... Ask your tyre dealer, for sure Michelin still manufacture them, but I'm not sure you can find them on your side of the Atlantic... The other option i'm looking for is to find former aircraft tyres, some exist in 6.5x10"... The coolest street grooved tyres...
Good search and keep us posted!!!

Thank you for the responses.  So far I have found these tires.  I believe that the size is fairly close.  This one is 7x10 instead of 6.7x10

It is completely slick, but if I ride on dry roads and stay out of the rain, it should be good hopefully!

Also, thank you guys for all your help!  Even though I dont speak French, I read this forum through the google translator, and I have learned alot so far!!  Keep up the good work!!

Have a look at the local golf lawn mover dealer some John Deere had that size of tires 6.7 /10 on the traction axle.
